DRL/Services/For Mining

Services for mining.

Multi-scale ore characterization, digital ore modeling, and image-based petrophysical analysis for critical mineral, rare earth, and base metal mining operations.

What we deliver

From ore sample to digital model.

We provide end-to-end digital ore characterization – from multi-scale imaging through image analysis and 3D modeling – scoped to the specific characterization questions driving your program. Deliverables range from a single sample's petrophysical report to multi-sample comparative studies and ongoing ore characterization support.

Imaging

Multi-scale ore imaging

Correlative micro-CT/-XRM, SEM/EDS, FIB-SEM, and S/TEM imaging of ore samples at resolutions from centimeters to angstroms. Full mineralogical mapping and 3D pore/fracture network characterization.

Analysis

Digital ore characterization

AI-assisted segmentation, mineral phase identification, liberation analysis, grain size distributions, and reactive surface area quantification from 3D image data.

Modeling

Image-based pore-network modeling

3D pore-and-mineral models for pore-scale flow, transport, and dissolution simulation – directly grounding heap leach and ISR performance predictions in ore microstructure.

3D digital ore model reconstructed from multi-scale tomography data.
Properties we extract

Image-derived petrophysical properties.

  • Porosity and effective (connected) porosity
  • Mineral phase maps and liberation statistics
  • Reactive surface area and mineral accessibility
  • Pore-network connectivity and tortuosity
  • Permeability and relative permeability
  • Grain and pore size distributions
  • Dissolution front propagation (4D simulation)
